Dystopian novels are certainly becoming more and more popular. It is one of those genres that just intrigues people. A truly mind grabbing dystopian novel must throw the reader into another world and keep us entertained in it. Personally, I think Susannah Noel has nailed it!

Riana Cole is a 22 year old Reader. She works for the Office of the Readers to "read" codes and other questionable messages. Five centuries ago, the Cataclysm destroyed almost everything. Most folks of the Union Government cannot read and depend on the Readers to decode messages in the written text. Rianna is also the care-giver to her handicap sister.

Next we have sexy Mikel, a Soul-Breather. A Soul-Breather is able to breathe out memories and information by simply touching another person. I loved the paranormal twist that Mikel brought to this book. Connor is Riana's long lost best friend. He is equally crush worthy! And of course brings the third element to the impending love triangle. Riana will discover why he had disappeared and how can he now help her in her time of need.

Connor and Mikel must help Rianna find her sister who has been kidnapped. While the three of them are on an obvious mission to find the missing sister, Riana realizes maybe things and people aren't necessarily what they seem!

If you love dystopian, paranormal, mystery, and romance - you will love this book! There are so many aspects to this book that, I am sure you will get lost in their world!

  1. I loved this book! I loved both boys but I am definitely Team Connor. I am excited to see how the love triangle progresses in the next one. :)
