Caridad Piñeiro Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Campaign and giveaway

Best-selling author Caridad Piñeiro is the donating proceeds of her latest romantic suspense release, THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE, from now until March 1, 2013 to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief fund. As a bestselling author of paranormal romances and romantic suspense, her donation will hopefully make a difference to those in need.
Caridad has kindly joined us today to tell us a little bit more about THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE which is available for download at Amazon  and Barnes & Noble AND there's a little giveaway of an eCopy of her Romantic Suspense, THE FIFTH KINGDOM at the bottom of the post!

Okay, I have to confess: I have a fascination with the Royals. My mom and I woke up at the crack of dawn so long ago to watch Diana and Charles get married and more recently, my daughter and I recorded the wedding and had our own little tea party to sit and watch the big event.
Here’s a picture of us all ready for the occasion! I’ve even got a tiara!

But that love of the Royals didn’t stop with the British monarchy. I mean, who can resist the mystery of the last members of the Russian family and the story of Anastasia. If you haven’t had a chance, rent the animated musical with John Cusack and Meg Ryan doing the voice-overs. It’s lovely and some really touching songs.

When it came time to write my latest romantic suspense, THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE, I couldn’t contain my love of the Royals and so Prince Alexander Ivanov was born. A distant (very very very distant) relation to the Romanov dynasty, Prince Alexander is a very complex and caring individual. A man who wants to be judged by what he has done rather than his royal lineage. A man who wants freedom, something he has lacked in his life for a variety of reasons.

First, his family has suffered and survived communism in Russia, but we also find out as Prince Alexander clashes with the FBI Agent investigating possible money laundering and a white slavery ring at the prince’s casino, that there is so much more to the prince than you could imagine.

Prince Alexander is caring, thoughtful and just too irresistible, especially as you see him interact with his much younger sister, Tatiana, his employees and Kathleen, the FBI Agent who is finding it hard to guard her heart against the prince’s charms.
Did I also mention he’s dead sexy? Here’s how I pictured the prince!

Now who could resist all that! And a prince to boot.

I hope you’ll take a moment to check out THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE. Also, since the novel is set in Atlantic City and I’m a Jersey Girl, I’m donating my share of the proceeds from sales of the book to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.
Thank you for visiting! Now how about you? Are you in love with the Royals also and if so, who is your favourite one?

Prince Alexander Ivanov is scrambling to save his reputation and his livelihood. One of the Russian Nights Casino's hostesses has disappeared, and his business is suddenly under investigation by the FBI for associations with the mob and money laundering.

Special Agent Kathleen Martinez has no patience with rich, entitled aristocrats, especially one like Alexander Ivanov whom she believes is involved in the vicious human trafficking ring which she'd tried—and failed—to shut down two years earlier. With a second chance to bring him to justice, she goes undercover in the casino, but instead of facing the villain she expected, she finds herself battling a sizzling attraction to the man.

Now, forced to work together to trace the source of the illegal activities, the danger—and the passion between them—grows out of control, and they slowly begin to realize the biggest danger isn’t to the casino, it’s to their lives…and to their hearts

Along with Caridad's donation to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund she also has an eCopy of THE FIFTH KINGDOM up for grabs today.

Dr. Deanna Vasquez hasn't spoken to her mother in years, not since the renowned archaeologist abandoned her family in her quest to find the lost tomb of Montezuma. When CIA agent Bill Santana shows up in her classroom with the news that her mother has been abducted by terrorists, Deanna has to help in any way she can.
Bill needs Deanna's expertise to determine the location of her mother's latest find, before her kidnappers do. He fears whatever mysteries the tomb holds could be deadly in the wrong hands. In an effort to make contact with the terrorist cell, Bill accompanies Deanna to Mexico posing as her fiance--a ruse made doubly dangerous because of the very real heat between them...

  1. I love the new cover! and you're right he is pretty nice to look at :)

My favourite Royal. Hmmm. Us Scots aren't too keen on them to be honest, I'd have to go with Harry. He's more down to earth than the rest and I'd love to see what would change if he was King. :)

  2. LOL, totally understand that, Michelle. My daughter loves Harry. I thought William was more handsome until he started losing his hair. When I was in Denmark, I got to see their royalty. They walked right by me on the street (surrounded by guard, of course). It was quite exciting.

  3. Love the cover. I would love to read this book.

  4. What a lovely cover - sounds like a very interesting book!xo
