When My Keeper Shelf asked me to reveal my favourite books of 2012, I wondered how on earth I would ever whittle down the list! There are so many awesome books and so few hours in the day. But I managed to come up with a list that reflects what I enjoy as a reader, what makes me want to curl up with a glass of wine. This diverse list, in my humble opinion, represents the best of my favourite genres.
Without further ado, my 7 favourite books of 2012:
1. COLD DAYS by Jim Butcher (Dresden Files)
2. THE SEVEN WONDERS THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE by Glenn Beck and Dr. Keith Ablow (self-help)
3. GILLIFLOWERS by Gillibran Brown (diary/autobiography)
4. STOLEN PREY by John Sandford (Lucas Davenport series)
5. CRUCIBLE OF FATE by Mary Calmes (m/m paranormal romance, shifters)
6. HEART OF ATLANTIS by Alyssa Day (The Warriors of Poseidon series)
7. THE SIREN by Tiffany Reisz
MEET THE AUTHOR:
J.D. Tyler is an award-winning, multi-published author who writes for New American Library under three pseudonyms. Whether this is due to an overdose of ambition or a multiple personality affliction, she’ll never tell.
J.D. writes dark, sexy paranormal romance and has a huge thing for shifters, vampires, the Fae, and just about everything else that goes bump and grind in the night. She can’t get enough of those dangerous supernatural heroes, and the fun of creating her own was just too much temptation to resist… so she didn’t. J.D. doesn’t do self-denial.
When she isn’t writing, J.D.’s idea of a good time certainly isn’t cleaning house (sniff), bungee jumping (not in this lifetime, or the next), or camping (her idea of “roughing it” is a slow bellboy). She enjoys reading, being pampered like the diva she is, and spending time with her awesome family. She lives in Texas with her two teenagers.

ReplyDeleteI can't think right now what my favorite book of the year was. I read a ridiculous number of books earlier this year and then about the time school started back up for the kids, I ran out of time to read. I don't think I have finished a book in 3 months. Hoping to get some reading done over the holidays!
ReplyDeleteI have not read that much this year. Took a break from reading and am now starting back up. I loved Die for Me.
